nice to have you guys back, there really was a lot of insane internet stuff going down this month. I just have a quick correction for Luke: Dragon Soop has been on the market for at least a decade (so I guess just after the cultural heyday of Four Loko in the US), although I think it’s always been easiest to find in Scotland (of course) and progressively harder to find the further you are from the border. I know this and felt the need to leave a comment about it because it played a vital role in many of the best nights of my student days in, coincidentally, Manchester and therefore also my adult identity formation. I last partook on New Years’ Eve when everyone was pleasantly surprised to find that the red kola flavour does not have a perceptible aftertaste of paint thinner and is genuinely pretty nice. Although I guess the fact that the UK has been under the influence of British Four Loko for the last ten years could go some way to explain how deranged a lot of that time has been.
